Hi all,

I'm a vintagewatch lover (as a hobby) and while looking for my first vintage Breitling I have discovered this forum when I've read Watchfreds interview on Fratellowatches. I'm hoping you guys can help me spot any potential issues with this Top Time 810 that I picked up at a serious local auction house. It should be a 810 MK2 with a red hand and the Venus 178 movement from about 1969.

It's still within the window to return so it would be great to get your opinions if it's
- fake or not
- worth keeping (for which price range?) and to clean, service, change plexi (I have a NOS original extra) etc.
- I am extremely unsure because of the the minute and hour hand. Or is there a chance that they are correct?

What do you think will it look like whne the plexy is replaced?
I would really like to get the work done on this watch but I am not sure if its worth it ( in case its not a Frankenwatch).
As well if there is a chance to get original minute and hour hands for this watch.

Thanks in advance for any and all your help!!

Looks fine but the hands are clearly wrong and quite distracting! I always advise people not to buy watches with the wrong hands unless they already have spares, because you never know if you can find them. You can’t get replacement hands so you’ll just have to hope some show up on eBay some day. Or post an advert here and maybe you’ll get lucky.

Thanks for your opinion! I absolutely share your opinion with the hands, but case and dial are too good not to try to find the right minute and hour hands for this Top Time.
