Post subject: | 810/815 Transition Model? |
Hello all, I've seen a watch up for sale that I'm unsure about the authenticity of. It claims to be a model in transition between and 810 Top Time and an 815 Long Playing. It has a Valjoux 7730 type movement it, but the caseback still says 810. Does anyone know if such a transition model existed? Or is this some watch made from an 810 part here and an 815 part there? ![]() |

it seems there was a small production run of these, although it isn't documented anywhere, but in th e"dead stock" parts left after Breitling shut dwon, there were spare dials w/ Toptime branding for the 7736... no, you can't technically swap dials (or main hands) between Valjoux 7736 and the Venus cal. 178, so probably assembled by Breitling, although quite a strange marriage.... |
