Hi, I'm looking at this 782 and would be grateful for opinions please. Does it look genuine? Serial number points to 1946, but seller is adamant it's 1960s Thanks Attachment: 20190125_223308_resized.png Attachment: 20190125_223414(1).png Attachment: 20190125_223342(1).png Attachment: 20190125_223229_resized.png

Does anything stand out with it as a concern regarding originality of parts, unsympathetic restoration or condition? I'm told the glass is most likely a replacement plexi-glass and that the dial is original, although it looks too bright to be original to me? |

I'm leaning towards the dial being redone also. Look at the way the 8 overlays the sub register and none of the other numbers do that on this watch or any other original dial 782 I can find. Usually that's an indicator. It's listed on Chrono24 and Ebay but you might be interested to see what it sold for a couple of years ago. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/21664/lot/103/ |

On the main dial the 2 (in 12), 5 and 6 all look to have been badly touched up? Also, the style of the 7 doesn't look consistent with other 782 dials I've seen. Thoughts? |

Reprint ‘Breitling’ on the dial is too cursive They used the re-edition as script example |
