Considering making an offer on this 815. Wondering if I should be concerned about the fact that the "t swiss swiss made t" on the bottom of the dial is merged with the sub-register? Attachment: 815.jpg Thanks, Joe |

I would be. Subdial division markers don't look right either, or at least don't match my 815. |

Still don't like how much the Swiss T is cut off - looks even more cut off than the examples in the additional thread, but the overall dial quality is good and probably not a reprint. |

if it isn't a redial, somthing went wrong w/ a production batch here ... note the confirmed original dials I've seen for the steel 815 have subdials that aren't black, but anthracite hi re link: http://i.imgur.com/u6Wtu6T.jpg ![]() |

hi, I actually purchased this watch. I am quite nervous about it now. I will post better pictures of it and look forward to your input once it arrives. |

The dial of my GP 815 has basically the same printing with the TswissmadeT slightly merging with the subregisters . I bought this 815 to Mr Wajs, it was in the inventory of spares bought by O&W at the very end of L.G. Breitling company . My subdials are black and not anthracite , so I guess that they were slight differences between successive batches - or maybe two sources for dials . I know that L.G. Breitling was subcontracting dials to Singer and to Linder , but it would need to disassemble the watch to have the opportunity to look at an eventual manufacturing mark on the backface of the dial . If somebody here has spare dials, maybe it would help? |

hi I received the 815 yesterday. I find it quite beautiful but still unsure about the dial. Hopefully these pictures are a touch clearer and can help shed some more light on the dial. It is interesting how the dial appears so different in the 2 photos. I used my phone but if we need better photos I can borrow a camera. A couple of questions. I thought these watches had 20mm lug spacing? I don't have a caliper but I could hardly squeeze my softest 20mm band in there. It seems like it may be 19. Are some 815's 19 and some 20? How expensive were these when new? Just thinking about what it is that makes these watches nicer than a Wakmann or Zodiac watch with a similar valjoux movement. The dial seems more striking than my Wakmann triple date, or at least it has more sheen. Are the cases and other components different? Does it date to 1973? thanks so much for your help! |

if the "spare stock" dials that Albert Wajs had, show the same specifics as Phil says, I would not doubt the dial, it seems a late production run with black replacing the earlier anthracite- -and a strange "Swiss. Made" positioning and font. lugs on the 815 (and the 810Mk2) are 19mm |

Nice 815 and I see no problem with your dial, just see mine below - late Breitling batch, bought from A. Wajs stock - , it looks similar with the same misalignment of the "swiss made" Attachment: DSCF6160.JPG

Nice looking watch. The one thing I notice is the sub-dials looks to be retouched. It looks like black rings were painted around the outer part of the sub-dials of them and the white markers now seems to be a little shorter than the other examples on here. |

Wow! The little details that can be found! Thanks Is this a big strike against the value of the watch? Should I try to find a better dial for it? Or Will that actually lessen the value even more? Can a dial like that even be found? Thanks |
