Good evening forum,

I would like to get your input on this vintage Navitimer Jupiter being offered for sale:

It's a well worn example. It will require a replacement movement and the ESA Y2 900.231 hasn't aged well over the years and even finding one nos doesn't guarantee a trouble free future. I've had them last for years and I've had them last 15 minutes. More often 15 minutes if working at all when received. You can use the later ESA Y2 900.911 alarm movement but the alarm won't work in the .231 case and the longevity with the .911 is the same as the .231. These aren't good pieces to count on working very long. The later pieces that use the Miyota Y652 are much more reliable and easier to find replacement parts if needed.

Thanks again. I'm going to take a shot at finding the movement. The seller got me what I feel is a more than fair price.

Good morning,
I was browsing eBay this morning and came across this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/162337309839

Would this be a good donor watch? Assuming the movement works of course.

Thank you!!
