I messaged the seller to say that their watch was questionable (fake), this is their reply:

Hi

this is the description on the listing

Please note we are sure the movement dial hands and caseback are authentic
The crown is an old replacement and the case is a style we are not familiar with but looks contemporary to that era.

This is the considered opinion of my breitling trained watch repairer who did the service

If we were sure all the components were original it would be a buy it now price of over 1000 pounds , however it is a 99p no reserve auction we are certain everything but the case are breitling parts the listing and start price makes this clear

Are you an ex breitling employee and know more than my watch repairer who was trained by breitling?

As a footnote he says that at the time when breitling was under financial pressure due to the quartz revolution prior to the company going bust I quote his words " they used any old shit lying around to get money in " not what you would expect for a premium brand they are today
.

I don't think this really cuts it as the listing does not make it clear that the case is not Breitling. Anyone else feel this is acceptable?
