just waiting on the turkey and curious about the top time 810 I saw on eBay. This is more my own personal exercise but I'd appreciate feedback from members to make sure I'm on the correct path.  The dial looks clean but I don't recall the right subdial having those hash marks. I've also seen other references with all white baton minute and hour hands, which is what the chrono hand seems to imply. Anything else I'm missing? Appreciate any input. |

I am interested to hear what others say as well. I've read on forums that the longer 'hash marks' on the minute subdial of chronographs (at 3, 6, 9 minutes) were used to help time long distance phone calls, since they were billed in 3 minute increments. I'm not sure if that's undisputed or just a theory. Also, so the story goes, watchmakers stopped marking dials like this in the late 1940's or so because long distance stopped being billed like that. If the above story is true, then it's odd this Top Time has these marks. |

Hey, I actually found an article that shows a reverse panda 810 with the 3-6-9 marks that denotes it as a "Jim Clark" model. http://www.timeline.watch/watch/1966-br ... ref-810-2/ You can see one of the pictures below.  Moreover, I actually see a post made by our very own WatchFred with the 3-6-9 hash marks as well on an old WatchuSeek thread. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f11/jim-cl ... 06172.html So I guess I need to retract the hash-mark statement making this to be fake/redial.

early Mk2 reverse panda dials lack the 3/6/9 markings like the Mk1, mostly seen in "transitional" Mk1.2, i.e. Mk1 cases and hands, but Mk2 design dials most Mk2 reverse panda have them |

Also good to know there's some support for the different hands I've seen as a transitional. |
