Can someone please tell me if either of these are real? I'm in love with the look of the first one, but I don't want to invest in a fake watch. Thanks!

1st is all fake, 2nd has a refinished dial and a movement that didn't start life in this watch

How can you tell? Sorry I'm a novice to all of this. I'd just really like to find a vintage Breitling.

study vintage Breitling in detail for a decade and you're no longer a novice and can tell which ones are correct and which ones arent :)

but honestly , it takes a long time to explain the details when you are a novice and lack the base knowledge ?
Good starting point is to read all the posts in the vintage section and vintage fake/franken section , those 2 sections contain most (all?) on the info that you need an enables you to make an informed decision on what is real and what is not

I know its a lot of work but it really does take a lot of work to no longer be a novice
