Post subject:  Fake 1940's 789

Hello, hope you can help me...was looking at this watch a few weeks back... a couple of things I'm concerned with, first the dial face looks like a reproduction since the seconds dial circle looks to have been printed out of alignment. Next, the face dial says "premiere", but with the back off, it does not have "premiere" stamped on the movement (like I have seen with other examples). I tried to do research on a model 789, but there seems to be very little information available. Not sure what is correct or not correct with this.... Any additional information that you have or what to look out for would be a great help, many thanks Jeff Smith Atlanta, GA

It's not fake, its real BUT it's a redial being sold by debarred Shill Bill Shaine. Remember to buy the seller.

movement bridge is incorrect too.
not all Premier have that marked on the movement; man early & perfectly correct Premier have totally unmarked movements, many do not have Premier.

but this is the early Venus 15x/175/178 bridge, these were never marked and only correct for the earliest pieces.

buy the seller indeed.
