Thank you very much for responding WatchFred. I come at this as a complete novice, but having considered a number of threads on this forum (most of which are punctuated with very insightful comments by WatchFred), would I be correct in concluding the following about this watch: 1. It is a Generation 1 Top Time 810? 2. It would have left the factory in 1964? 3. It is a 'toploader', and this means that the only way to see the movement is by removing the front of the watch (crystal, hands and dial)? 4. The movement should be a Venus 178? 5. The serial number will be on the inside of the back of the case (underneath the movement)? Thanks |

Thank you Waynepjr1 - my hours of research appear to be paying off! The seller is asking for GBP2.5k - does anyone know if that is reasonable/too much/a bargain for a watch in this condition? Thanks |

Fred is the better valuator than I but... $3k range about right. Seeing conversion rate, price would be $3.6k which is high for ME. |

lume is lovely. Suggest the case may be polished - hard to tell for sure, but lugs may be rounded, looks very shiny and scratch free overall, but that would be commensurate with the condition of the dial. |
