I'm currently in talks to buy a Breitling Navitimer 806 (serial 116xxxx, circa 1967) but have some doubts about the originality of the dial and hands, specifically:

* The patina of the lume on dial and hands doesn't match - hands is far newer and green looking
* The slide rules looks like a replacement - the inner track has red detailing (not a box around the 10) but the outer doesn't, plus, it looks quite new
* The markings at 6 o'clock say "T SWISS MADE T" but I believe watches of this era should only have one T, i.e. "SWISS MADE T".
* The sub-dials look too white for its age

Appreciate any help confirming my suspicions, I'm relatively new in the vintage watch game. Seller has been upfront about likely a replacement slide rule but believes the hands and dial to be original.

The dial is a service replacement, and the slide rule is not original.

This type of service dial with big subs is my favorite. It gives the 806 a stunning look. If a matching sliderule with matching red accents is mounted, it will look incredible.
If you like to have it original, you need a original twin planes dial with small subdials and a all black sliderule (which is nearly impossible to find).
