I'm the new owner of this 50's classic which was fully serviced and looks it except...it never makes 24hrs from morning wind. I admit to not winding all the way to the stop but close (I think).. of course I worried about overwinding hence my concern. I had not heard such a sweet tic tic tic till I awoken this machine..I am happy! ![]() |

I edited your post so the image shows, but based on what I see on my phone I fear you may not like some of the comments coming - that doesn't look like a Breitling to me. |

OUCH!! Please--I'd like your expert breakdown on this single image?! It came from Spanish seller on Ebay 450 100% FBs, also had active bidding withhigh number of bidders above $500 some of whom seemed to be dealers. I will contact the seller and ebay immediately upon your advise. btw..SIGNED BREITLING IN DIAL CASE AND MOVEMENT--I haven't opened it yet? original listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-BREITLING-CHRONOGRAPH-TWO-REGISTEER-HAND-WINDING-CAL-VENUS-170-/331804693542?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=LhvqOjy3kA%252FgKgGBHwoOSdZz24Q%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc |

Incorrect case, refinished and incorrect dial... Lots of fakes come from Spain were in turn the piece originate from South America. I know of one prominent Spanish dealer who has a direct connection with Argentine fakers, they are family members at that! |

I've noticed Breitling made alot of cases and dials from that era--the listing was quite clear "THE DIAL WAS PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED" ..I'll have it opened by a jeweler and see if the movement is also Breitling Stamped as mentioned in listing? |

Again... That is EASILY faked as well. You can buy or fabricate signed bridges all day long. As for the cases, Breitling never made cases back in the day nor did most, they bought them and many manufacturers used the same cases for their watches as well. Never, EVER seen this case used by Breitling back in the day. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but is easier to learn and move on. Happens to everyone if you do this long enough. And avoid ALL refinished dials like the plague! They kill value!! |

fully agree with the comments above, watch is - without the shadow of a doubt - fake, a total fabrication without similarities to an authentic Breitling model. Breitlings models from the period are well documented and this isn't one of them, lacks a period correct serial and a model ref; no part of this watch ever came near a Breitling workshop. |

I should have joined this group before purchase! charlie g |

I posted a request for return on EB based on your comments here---I'm sad but I'll recover, it's an attractive overall watch and it did tic tic tic! I'll find a legit one like it after I get this return settled. |

I'll find a legit one like it after I get this return settled. just an update It's too soon to tell but the good news for me was the seller took the expertise of this forums members that this was not the real watch advertised so I'm sending/mailing it today back to the EB seller in Spain with hopes he'll credit my paypal account when he receives it? I suppose it's possible now I could lose everything fake watch and money.. so the mystery continues. |

WatchFred wrote: I would initiiate a paypal case, not "trust" the seller will refund ? mucho for the headsup but it seems PP wants me to first try settling via EB first: "Our records show that you already have a claim with eBay for this transaction. We recommend that you complete your claim processing with eBay. You may still be eligible to file a claim with PayPal for up to 180 days from purchase. If you choose to proceed with PayPal now, your eBay claim will be closed. Wait for eBay’s decision File a PayPal claim" |
