What's the story on this one - Franken or just a bad caseback? Subdials clearly wrong.

On the first one everything is wrong. Case. Hands. Dial/script etc. On the one just posted, exactly the same though I guess there is a .001% chance that this was something that came out in the dying days of Breitling. Wait until tomorrow when the true gurus wake up for confirmation. But if I'm wrong on these I will eat crow and never post here again, I promise :)

have a look at this site, l suppose you know of this anyway, http://www.breitling-museum.com/1960-1969.html One of those pieces belong on there. The biggest question is why would one make a fake and make up their own reference number but use a genuine , correct signed Breitling movement?? l thought the whole point of making a fake is to make an exact copy of a branded make, not a completely different item? My guess is this is a completely different watch and none of us have enough detail to make such a call. The database is still growing and l am sure there are still a lot of undiscovered gems out there!!

That site has loads of fakes and no one here would pay it any attention.

A 0ny movement can be branded by simply adding a signed bridge, and that's what gets faked. There is nothing original Breitling on that watch - the dial is poor quality, the case is not Breitling shaped, non Breitling hands, and the caseback is wrong. There is no authentic model number to add, so better to put something unknown and pretend it's "rare".
