The Breitling Watch Source Forums

Hello, I have been trolling this forum for a few days but this is my first post. Can anyone identify whether this serial number is correct for a gold plated ref. 178 case? If it is a genuine case, the serial number dates the case to 1945, but I am not sure the stamped numbers look 100% correct. Particularly the "7's" (the font seems a bit fancier than other ref. 178 cases I've seen). The movement is an unmarked venus 170 and the dial is a generic brand or re-dial, so no help there.

Nothing wrong with those numbers.
