Dear all, Has anybody more information about this watch? It looks like this Military model : http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... d_120.html Movement : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-875-PH-1 ... 1453178851 I have already searched a lot on google but I can not find this model anywhere and I would be grateful for any help. No reference to this model in Breitling literature , and no Breitling markings anywhere except on dial . My personal guts feeling at 99% is that it was not born as Breitling. |

have the same caseback in a spare parts lot bought from Italy .... a lot of the "dark years" watches isn't properly documented - and this one looks closer to the "design language" of the original Breitling than many of the Quartz pieces we've seen to be correct. on the fence, of course, but leaning towards "probably authentic" |

I doubt it's genuine. The Harley-Ronda movement and unsigned bracelet would be totally unlike Breitling even during the Sicura transition period. There are similar pieces in the early 1980's catalog but they all have similar, and proper for the era, reference numbers and are marked Breitling on the case back and movement. With little value pieces like this you have to ask yourself why would someone fake a cheap quartz watch and the only answer would be to increase it's value by hawking it as a rare, early, piece or prototype. We see it happen all the time with 1930's pieces where there's also little documentation. Notice how the second hand hasn't moved in any of the pics. Working? I would imagine it's a smaller than 35mm watch. I'd stay away from this one because you'll have the burden of proof as to authenticity. |

I completely understand where Paul is comin from , yet in this case I am leaning towards genuine and dont get me wrong , I love my fence , but there's something about it that appeals to me |

The side view of the strap links is interesting , they are similar to Aerospace 1st version issued in 1985 . The caseback is close to G. Monnin réalisations that can be found on french Heuers issued in early 80s. Finding no Breitling markings on caseback, on crown, on movement plate otherwise than on dial is surprising . So provided it was really born as Breitling , then it would have a very big percentage of Sicura blood in it . |

I've changed my mind on these since my post 5 years ago. I've since seen a few of these and am pretty sure they're genuine, from the mid 1980's, and closely resemble the DPW line when they first started using Breitling models. |
