Hey all just picked up my first Breitling 765...or at least hoping I did. Hands don't look right to me, but you are the experts. Thoughts? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks!

not the reply you might have hoped for - but why didn't you ask before bidding on ebay near or above a price for the most perfect pieces ?

had almost a dozen of pm about this watch while the auction was running.

main hands are totally incorrect, no similarities whatsoever to hands used on a Premier 765 - or any Breitling chronograph.

unmarked movement incorrect for the production period (1953 earliest assembly), all movements after 1945/46 should be marked.

frankenwatch.

Thanks for the reply. Novice moment. Obviously will come here first next time...it's an education. Are the dial and case correct and worth anything?

movement is authentic (or most probably is), only wrong period.
dial and case are authentic and a correct fit.

I'd talk to the seller, as the watch is clearly NOT 100% authentic as he had described it.

a paypal case will be decided in your favor, I assume.
