This one has me puzzled. It's definitely not an 01 like the description says. It looks like a more modern navi with a vintage movement, but I am not very knowledgeable about vintage movements and this looks like a caliber 11. What do you guys think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/171963803805?ru ... 26_rdc%3D1 |

Did a little research and it appears this is a rare circa 1986 Navitimer 81600--definitely something I'm not familiar with. Sounds like the guy doesn't know what he has. Cool looking piece... It's a shame the pics are so bad. |

Issued by the Breitling SA company so the vintage section is not the right one to post about this "modern" Breitling . Yes it is a Navitimer 81600 encasing a manual winding cal. Lemania 1873 , issued late 1985 up to 1987. 2 versions of case , with big movement ring then with a thinner ring . 2 versions of dial, with 12 then with a triangular index . Issued in stainless steel and gold plated. Caseback similar to late 806 series. 81600-24 is the Cosmonaute version encasing a Lemania 1873-24 or 1877. Replaced by the Old Navitimer 81610 , automatic with a Valjoux 7750 . |
