seller has been one of the masterfakers on ebay for years, using different seller names; same guy had the Venus 152 Navitimer .....

as franken as a Navitimer can be; beaded bezel on a '65 case& a post-69 Valjoux R7736, a first for me ....

dial & sliderule refinished, hands wrong - and it will sell.

I came to the conclusion quite some time ago that there are people out there that don't really care if the watch is authentic as long as they like it. Probably the same buyers that purchase modern replica's except more focused on the vintage look. You have to admit that your average Joe, on the street or at work, isn't going to be able to identify it as a fake. He's more than likely just going to be impressed by the new owner good taste. What I hate is when the innocent, and unaware, purchase pieces like this and then proudly show up on this forum where we have to gently break the news. :(

I think the only parts that belong together are the caseback and main hands :-/

I don't have much sympathy for these buyers really, they must have more money than sense. You don't need a huge amount of expertise like you fellas have to realise the mistakes of this watch, the movement alone has to be the biggest give away.

Surely if you are going to purchase a fairly expensive watch you would do your homework first  ,
