Hi fellow watch lovers,
Your opinion needed: just found this piece on an eastern European online auction site.
Brief description says:
Breitling Chronomat 769 from 1945, Venus 175, original dial and hands. A replacement bronze / gold plated (?) bezel with crystal is included in the sale. Caseback reads: "fund acier inoxyoabie 769". Just serviced, runs beautifully.
The pictures are not the greatest quality, and unluckily no picture of the movement, either.
Hurt me! :)
Thanks

Maybe due to the pics but the bezel looks as an handcraft replacement , not original . It could explain the extra bezel ?

Thanks for your input;
For some reason it hasn't attached the replacement bezel, i'm attaching again. Do you think that's original?
Do the other parts look all right? As an enthusiastic newbie, i studied Alan Trott's article on the Chronomat history on watchuseek, however most details look ok, i still can't decide whether the hands are ok? The dial seems correct (even though it's a bit tatty), can't decide the case, the crown.. a bit still confused to be honest.
Many Thanks for your efforts in helping an eager wannabe Breitling expert :)
