Hi,

I am wondering if the hour & minute hands and the case back markings looks right for a 788? can't find anything similar on the net..

What's interesting is two different style backs from the same year produced, 1945. Must have been a transition year? The OP's seller sells a lot of Breitling bits & pieces (like dials) so you have to check her stuff closely for originality.

two styles of hands, two styles of casebacks for the 788 in the mid 40s - similar to the OP caseback, but different inscriptions on this one:
