First time poster and brand new member, I could really use some help getting some more information about this Breitling I picked up locally on craigslist. It was in rough shape but I cleaned it up a little and it's looking very nice.

Anything you guys can tell me would be much appreciated, year, model, history, value etc. Thanks

sorry about the size of the pictures, I don't know how to resize.

very strange piece.

dial and hands clearly are NOT mid 1940s, they seem to come off a 1960s 1192; ref. 1781 is not a documented Breitling model.
maybe a movement shot will tell us more ?

not a bridge marking I remember seing, and it happens to be a movement only introduced in 1948 iirc, bridge shape is much later than that.

60s Breitling dial and hands from a ref. 119x with a non-Breitling case and movement, I'm afraid.

Seems likely, where it will be noted and reported by those who aren't as naïve as some would assume :-)
