Post subject:  Fake or not 1940's Chronograph

Hello,

I am contemplating the acquisition of a vintage 1940s breitling chrono through eBay, but am really unsure about its authenticity (chronos character over the telemeter markings)

The seller only has positive feedback (over 1000 rating)

I am supposed to meet the seller tomorrow - and would like to know if I should really buy - he seems quite keen to sell

Thanks for your help

Well, it's not a bad looking watch but I fear there is nothing original about it. There's a ref number that's correct for Bretling but serial number makes no sense, dial clearly not original. Others know more than I but I believe to be a total fabrication.

serial number is incorrect, must be 6-digit, leading 5 or 6.
dial is refinished, logo off, "Premier" missing, hands incorrect for a ref. 760.

good feedback in ebay ? everybody has that, including the Masterfakers in China and Argentina.
