Hi Guys, This one popped up for authentication on another forum. Does it look authentic? Aside from the unusual case lugs, my gut feeling is its a typical 17J generic vintage fabrication from China. |

It's the same piece we had discussed recently, René - may I remind you you said fake, I said genuine  the one where u have to add a 7 to make the model ref. work, though it's not in Richter (and not in the 1946 catalog). good to see u are on the fence now, let's see what Roff, Paul and others think ..... |

I'm neutral. But owner states it was her late grandfather's, so that tends to push me off the fence. |

Looking at it on a phone, but reluctant to call it pure fake - definitely not a Chinese piece with that dial. That said, I'm far from convinced that dial and case started life together. |
