Obviously a different dial or redial, I'm sure someone who actually knows something will be by shortly . Quite a peculiar piece for sure.

What is the significance of football on the dial? Does anyone know.

Most likely due to the 45 minute register as it corresponds to a period. From what limited research I did it seemed to be mentioned they were for referees.

Correct , the 45 min counters were perfect for footbal

Here's another , later, version of a referee watch , with heavily modified v188 , same as in the SO2005

it actually started in Italy, Breitling manufactured watches for Italian referees, marked "FIGC" for the Italian Foootball Federation. The watch boxes for some years showed an imprint documenting that cooperation, later an edition marked "Football" was launched.

Thanks Fred. I have seen the "FIGC" models and
wondered what it stood for.
Haven't seen the 'Foot Ball' ones before though.
Would you say these are a particularly rare piece?
