I am in need of some friendly advice from someone who knows about vintage Breitlings. I am looking to purchase one as a wedding gift for my fiance and the more research I do, the more overwhelmed I feel.

I have found a watch on ebay that perfectly matches what he wants and I am trying to determine it's authenticity. I would be extremely grateful if you'd be willing to take a look.

Here is the listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Breitli ... 486cf12040

I would also be grateful for any referrals to reputable dealers if this is watch is not real.
Thank you so much for your time.

watch is basically authentic, but a VERY poor redial; not a good choice.

sadly there are no reputable dealers specializing in Breitling, even the "big names" often offer questionable or incorrect watches.
browsing chrono24.com will be the best idea - but remember to post the watches here for verification.

Thanks WatchFred. What does redial mean? (clearly I am a serious novice :)

the original dial has been "repainted" - and very poorly.
