Post subject:  Vintage Breitling Datora fake or not

Hello!
I'm new on this forum, and I will like to salut you all
Last day my father bring home this Breitling Datora from 1940-1950 I think , it has some kind of jewlery across the dial.
I will like to know if is fake or not!

ref. 140 20 is a correct reference for a "full calendar manual wind, running seconds at 6"
the dial is in surprising condition and I have never seen a diamond index version - but acript logo looks correct, serial number dates it to 1947.

I'm far from an expert on these and they are among the most faked pieces, but I like the fact that no "Datora" was incorrectly added to the dial and there are no Breitling logo engravings on the caseback, which would be incorrect too, but is almost always found on the fakes.

Do you have a bit more history about the piece - dial looks too good to be true if that watch wasn't lying in a safe for the last 60 years.

unfortunately i don't have any history about this.
i try to search about this, and like you said i never found a diamon index one!
If I can help you with more photos/videos i will do ones, the machine works perfect .
