Hello everyone, I'm new here, and I was wondering. My Mom recently passed away, and she had this watch, that was given to her by my father. It is a female windup wristwatch. very small face. On the face it says Breitling on top and Geneve on the bottom. The back has the word Breitling and the number 5538 stamped on it. The band has an 18k stamp on the lock. I'm uploading a picture if I can...... Any info on how old it is, and/or value would be appreciated.. Thanks

Well, here ya go. Of course this photo shows it on a leather strap but I think you get the picture. You got a winner and a beautiful watch there! If possible, upload some close ups of that watch face and back that are clear and focused.

Congrats!

First and foremost Thank You Wayne! That were able to come up with a picture of the same watch is incredible. I'm going to take better pictures of it to post. Any idea what time period that watch was made from?

I finally was able to resize the pictures. Again, what year was this model made?.......

to date it exactly you'd have to tell us the serial no. which should be inside the caseback.
but a rough range should suffice, mid 1950s I'd say.

u also asked for value: gold weight will define the value, no collector's market for these small ladies pieces.

As Mr. Fred so stated, no collector for these pieces which is sad. Very small but the band is gorgeous. A fine piece of work from a time when they crafted them all by hand.
