Hi everyone,

I am a newbie both in vintage watches and Breitlings...and here's one I just bought from eBay...yeah I know I should have done more research beforehand.

Anyway, seller specified this as a re-furnished face genuine Breitling and from the limited research I think the is a model 2916 circa 1950? I know the photos aren't exactly clear but I'm hoping to get some opinion as to what I bought myself into. I don't really mind the re-furnished face just hoping to get a good genuine user. Resale is not a consideration.

The watch has the correct FHF cal 28 in it, but it's been heavily refurbished, dial, hands. If you don't mind this, the movement and case back seem fine. These don't have a large collectors market, and the collector interest diminishes with the amount of non original work done to the watch. But that makes no difference if you wear it because you love it.
