Here is link to a real one owned by one of our members. The one on the Bay is a case made modern as you can clearly see. Dial is a knockoff. Are Chinese boys are something aren't they.

Also out of curiosity - what are your thoughts on this one? (Should I start new thread?)

Very doubtful, I asked for a movement image but note how they both have similar case backs, not good. These guys are getting good faking everything, even aging. These 3 handers are their bread and butter.

Good to know - will certainly skip out on this one as well.
Appreciate the info again.

They like to choice these 40's watches because they did not have signed cases for the most part or movements making it just the dials to work around. As a rule, avoid all of these unless you know for sure! Not much of a market for the 3 handers but for the hardcore collector.

I am one who is NOT afraid to say when he is wrong. And I am wrong here on both of these it sure does seem to be the case. As pointed out the me by Vintage, it does appear that both are good pieces.
As you can see from the 123 to the 122, the type of steel used back in the day was a lesser quality and easy to pit and wear much easier. The 123 up for auction is an example of one that was put away and not worn.
Both should be fine to bid on and I apologize for the confusing on this one. Here is a much better case back image provided by Vintage.

Wow! Ok - well I am learning here this is good. I think I will still probably refrain from bidding anyway though.

Again - thanks - this forum is very valuable.
