Hello. Curious to get your thoughts on this one. It was previously listed at $5,850 and received no bids. Then re-listed at same price and has two bids. Strange is that the first bid is nearly $1,000 over the starting bid. the two bidders seem to be bidding on the same items elsewhere. Maybe just coincidence and I am being paranoid.

Kindly let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Bill

I apologize, I believe I found an older post addressing this watch.

Bill, watch is very, very nice - price is at the upper end of reasonable now, some will say above that. but in a year or two from now it might seem cheap ......

Highest bidder is only bidding on watches from one particular seller , I wonder why ebay still pretends shill bidding is not allowed

Regarding the watch , 5K euro is a bit steep and , as Fred says, at the top end of being reasonable today

But , a very nice piece , double branded with LIP , who knows what they will go for 2 years from now

Are there more caseback markings on these or that's how it is?

the back is quite worn / polished / sanded

its should still have a 'B Breitling' 'AVI' '765' on the back ?

in some of the pics you can barely make out 'x1557x' marking in the middle

no idea what those are ?

no AVI on a '67, Renè ? ;)
we've discussed and pictured too many of those recently, so I understand ....

just a small and easily fading 765 CP.

caseback has been polished a bit, that circular pattern isn't factory original, the numbers in the center are interesting.

funny coincidences; here's an unpolished caseback, happens to be from the same batch of 10 ;)
not easy to photograph.

I didnt realize it was a 1967 , i looked at the steel bezel and assumed it was 1965 or younger ?

I know the markngs fade easily but this one looks like someone took sandpaper to the back and made it look 'nice' :-(

Hi all,

I am the new owner of this watch (see my introduction post in the vintage section).

After close examination of the back with a x30, the numbers engraved on the back are 1155707. I have no idea what they are...Could be a serial restamp but the serial number engraved inside the case back is 1084247 (making it a 1966 and not a 1967 based on the serial dater on the forum).

Thanks for your help!

Greetings from Paris,
Antoine
