Hi, In my hunt for a vintage breitling i've come across this but i've never see it before. Can anyone tell me what this model is and if it's a genuine breitling or franken? I am still trying to get pictures of the movement from the seller. Regards, Adrian |

All these nos pieces being sold by sellers in Armenia appear to be period correct but the fact that there's two or three different userid's selling them is a little worrisome. The hands design, case design, and reference numbers are consistent with those used by Breitling in the 1945-46 period but probably not earlier like the seller states. The serial number on this one is 1945. A movement pic would be nice but I would be hesitant to ask for one if the seller isn't comfortable removing the back. No reason to scratch an otherwise nos piece. |

Thanks for your reply vintage. I agree, the multiple sources of the watch does make it a bit worrisome. No movement pictures as expected. |

These watches now seem to be being advertised as being in Australia rather than Armenia: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Breitli ... 2ed20909ad But leaving aside the sketchiness of the seller, and more importantly for my learning, is the group consensus that these could even possibly be correct? Don't want to doubt Vintage's assessment but am really surprised that these even bear a resemblance to a correct piece (maybe I do need to buy Richter after all...) David |

Wouldn't call them without seeing he movement, but they are more consistent with real models than most of the 3 hand fakes that we see, and the dial doesn't appear to be refinished - although better pictures would be nice. However, a seller that keeps 'moving' is a cause for concern. |

Richter isn't all inclusive. I have seen plenty of models that are authentic and not in Richter's book. These old pieces tend to show up in the book with a 7 in front of them for some reason. For example my project 123 (missing sweep second hand) is in the book as a 7123.

not my area - and these 3-hands aren't well documented at all, but just pointing out the discrepancies between the perfect dial and the condition of lugs and case base, clearly point to a refinished or swapped in dial, that case clearly isn't a NOS piece. |

Movement's consistent, but that's not saying a whole lot unfortunately because they were used in many pieces. No Breitling markings could be right, but as Fred says overall condition of the different elements is inconsistent. |
