It appears to be marked a Cal 12 movement yet Cal 12 movements are a gold color. This would lead one to think this movement has been assembled from parts and is probably not original. Whether it should be a Cal 11 or Cal 12 would depend on the serial number in most cases but later Cal 12 replacements could have been inserted during service if required. The modified bridge would give most people concern that this is an assembled watch from parts. http://onthedash.com/docs/ChronomaticMovements.html |

11-2 movement I think Paul so correct for the movement. I have seen quite a few 11 bridges modified to 11-2, so while not exactly elegant I believe that it is factory work. |

Yep, missed this in the link: "The Caliber 12 looks like a gold tone movement, compared with the silver tone of the Caliber 11 and 11-I. (There are, however, certain Caliber 12 movements that use the same nickel-silver plates as the Caliber 11 and 11-I. In these instances, the "11" on the chronograph bridge (8500) is over-stamped with a "12".)" |
