Got the smaller stuff off which is often the case, MADE has an L at the end for one and spacing gets a little off as usual but that is under magnification. In real world viewing the walk about town guy would not know the difference. Why we must not tolerate redials, IMHO. Wayne |

Some dials are just too far gone - and only Breitling Switzerland and the Heists have access to (some) factory replacement dials, meaning you'd have to budget around $2k for a full restoration - at realistic market valuations this would be unreasonable for many nice watches. So a GOOD refinishing is often the only way to go if you don't want to bin a watch that's worth saving. Have a look at other brands - JLC will replace/refinish vintage dials when you send a watch for restoration and almost have to be forced to leave a dial untouched, similar with others. There is a world beyond our miniscule puristic circle that considers what we call "beautiful patina" ....... dirt. And yes, the asking price is beyond optimistic. |
