neither a Breitling reference nor a correct serial number, I'm afraid.

I don´t think it´s a fake.

The seller is a shop in Copenhagen, who specializes in vintage Omega and Breitling!

Well perhaps the store can explain why the number on the back is wrong for either a Breitling reference or serial number.

This watch never started life as a Breitling.

Thanks for the replies, I´ll ask the dealer.

It´s just strange, he is the number 1 watchmaker in Denmark, and a well known good guy in the watch community.

There must be a logically explanation on it..

He is probably not a vintage breitling expert like some of the people here
If you are not 100% fully aware of all the ins and outs its easy to make mistakes , even for a seasoned watchmaker

Maybe as a watch "maker" he made this watch by himself? Sure this one was not made by L. Breitling factory.
