Hi, I'm new to the board, and wondering if anyone can see anything wrong with this auction:

Any reason why the bridge on this one wouldnt have also been signed premier? (Sorry for all the posts lately - just trying to close in on a purchase)

Also I notice the two-line serial/model - not three line. Any comments? Or does the same apply from the three register premier 787 that has two lines.

Many variations on bridge engraving, no reason to doubt this one.

I assume that you mean that there is no Breitling on the case back which is perfectly correct. It is often added later by people who think that it should be there.

Right the caseback I'm not worried about

The number though dates it to 1945 - which - would a signed bridge be expected? Other threads on this site seem to, as you said, give some mixed results.

I just want to be 100% sure when I make the purchase - and maybe its hard to reach that level of certainty.

People here are very giving of their time and experience, they won't see you go wrong. If someone says that they think that the watch is right and no one else offers an opinion then you can safely assume that others agree. There's no need to ask the same question multiple times for the same watch.

If you are looking for 100% certainty then forget buying a vintage Breitling, there is too much variation and inconsistency in anything but the most well documented models (and even there we can rarely be absolute).

Great! I am very appreciative of your time.
I am in my early 20's and just beginning to appreciate these machines.
I learn with each post you guys make. Thank you.
