Post subject:  Identification of "1960s" Breitling Watch

Dear Users.

First of all thanks for taking the time to click on my post. As you can see this is my first post here, as i am not currently a "Breitling owner" - However i am looking to buy a Breitling watch, and have found one in the style i like.

So please forgive me, if any of my questions seem silly or offensive, i am completely new to Breitling.

Please do note, i have tried to find the answer to my questions through google, however i can not come up with a qualified answer, so there for i am hoping some of the experts here can help me.

I have long wanted a Breitling watch, however i my preferred style is more classic and in a vintage style, then the modern styles of watches. These are hard to find, but i have found one online, from a guy who lives closely to me in Copenhagen.

However as the watch is claimed to be from the 1960's there is no paperwork on the watch.

I would first of all like to know if the watch is fake or not. As i am not looking to buy a fake watch.

Second i would love to know what "model" it is, as it would be appropriate to know the most basic of information about the watch you are wearing. - So i am hoping you can help here too.

I have found a watch that is a little similar breitling-museum.com - however i have later found out that the site "was to be trusted" - (you could / have fouled me)

Third i would like to know what a "fair" price for the watch is, as i don't want to "over pay" for it.

I have attached two pictures, and i hope they can help to determine wether the watch is fake or not.

Thank you in advance.

Kevin

First welcome to the forum :-)

This is a bit of a strange watch , dial is real with the raised B but i have never seen a caseback like this with these engravings

On the inside of the caseback , is there a 3 digit reference number and a serial number .?

logo engraving on the caseback is very, very strange, dial seems to be authentic/original.

realistic price range - if it proves to be authentic - would be about €300

My thought was a Ref 2606, but the batons seem slightly too long. 2604 in metal would suit the baton layout better, but its the wrong finish. Might be a change without notice. Felsa movement?
