have to put my comment in context. I know much too little about the non-chrono Datora to actually say anything relevant, but the dial here shows the typical crispness of the original Breitlings of the period I know rather well -and the hands look typical too. So I like it - and it might still be incorrect, of course.

See what Rene comes up with on the hallmarks, but I see no reason to doubt it based on the photos. As Fred says the dial looks very sharp and the case markings also look like factory original and are consistent with what we should expect. I don't see any issues with the movement either.

Do you have an idea of the value?

Value i dont do on these

Casemaker Ed. Wenger SA seems strange to have wenger make the cases but Breitling neve made their own cases , those were all contracted out

Again , aa far as I know Wenger is/was a watch manufacturer themselves , that might be a caution point , all in all it looks quite good and inline with what i expect from a watch this age with wear and patina

just as long as you ignore the "valuations" of some recent ebay listings from Germany and Luxembourg, all the same delusional guy - realistic values are about 5% of his asking prices.

This Datora was offered in chrono24 for 3.400€ some weeks ago (Spain). I would say, this price (-10 to -20%) was realistic gor a gold one.

I'm not a collector of moonphase watches, but I don't know of any that have something written under the moonphase window.

Here's a 88/28 caseback for comparison. I think original ones had slashes/virgules and not dashes/hyphens.

Here I am being skeptical again. Do you suppose it's because of the shorter daylight hours?
