http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&orig_cvip=true&item=151170828675 The seller has stopped his first auction. Now he is writing about the 1808-ref. Currently 3.000€! A Franken (hard to believe) or a late spareparts-sampling-watch? Cal 11 with red datewheel is not uncommon... cal_11 |

WatchFred wrote: Cal.11 in a 2115 ? yes, I've also seen this sometimes in another early one. This is also a reason why I'm asking if this watch could be built from spareparts. Problem also: Wrong caseback so we can't estimate the maufacturing date. cal_11 |

I suppose it's possible to modify a Cal 11 movement into a Cal 14 but there's enough wrong with this watch it could be a real money pit to get straight even if the parts were available. A put together watch at best. |

In order to mount the extra GMT hand I would assume something has been done to the Cal 11 to make it all work. |

In order to mount the extra GMT hand I would assume something has been done to the Cal 11 to make it all work. Nothing uncommon for me. I've seen some 2115-models with cal 11 (serial numbers from 1969). Cal 14sx came end of 1969. If it was a early model, a Cal. 11 could be authentic. Problem here is the wrong caseback, so it's possible that someone has built this watch with parts.... cal_11 |
