If it is a fake, what are the reasons?

Many thanks to the experts.

well, one of the least respected sellers here, but basically authentic, just a very, very poorly refinished dial, one of the clumsiest logos I have ever seen, sad.

I'll be more direct because the seller will read this and it's worth reminding him regularly of what he is - seller is a crook and a serial peddler of fakes. As Fred says this is (or at least was) basically correct but the dial refinishing is horrible. Much better examples available at better prices and from honest sellers.

Thanks for these very fast replies.
So it is real. But the dial was poorly refurbished.
The logo was repainted badly. Is this correct what I understood?

There is something else: the stop function second hand hooks. Is this typical or what could
be the reason? Sorry for my English.

I have to learn a lot about watches.

And sounds very interesting what you Tell me about the seller. You seem to have some experiences...

Correct

Your English is fine. I'm not sure what you mean by "hooks" though, can you explain a little more?

As do we all  Stick around and you'll pick up a lot from the guys here.

He is well known in the vintage Breitling community, has been banned from this site under multiple usernames, has been banned from eBay under multiple usernames, just some to stay away from.

Well the hand stops from time to time for some seconds. More often in the area between 8 and 4 o'clock. This is for me very unexpected for a refurbished watch.

Do have hints where to find better genuine vintage Breitling watches for lower prices?

Anyway, I will stay here to learn more. Thank you all.

the watch needs a service urgently - I would contact the seller and inform him the watch is malfunctioning.

:yeahthat

If that watch has been serviced it was done badly (no surprise given the seller). eBay and Chrono24 are always going to be the best markets to find things, just check on here before committing as there are so many fakes and frankens out there.

Mr. März is a commercial seller on ebay, EU laws force him to accept returns, no questions asked, for 30 days. Watch is incorrectly described, has a horrific dial, does not work properly.
Guess what I would do ?

keep looking for an original dial and pay a real watchmaker in Oregon to do the service ?
