Post subject:  Help with Identification of a Breitling

Hello, gentlemen,
I recently inherited a Breitling watches and would like any information you may have and an evaluation on a fair retail price of the watch. The watch is in perfect working order. All registers function normally. Serial # 806017, case reference #1188.
Help determine what kind of model? Year ? And it looks like his own strap and where can I buy it?
Thanks in advance for any information!

Model is ref. 1188, manufactured in 1951. nice condition.
part of the "entry level" 11xx chronograph line w/ lever chronograph movement, Venus 188.

"retail" asking prices might be higher, but realistically these sell somewhere between €/$ 600 to 1k max.

correct strap would be stitched & tapered calf or croc leather, often tan/brown in the 1940s.

Watch would most likely NOT have the Breitling B on the crown. Nice example!
