Vintage Breitlings are not particularly well documented so fairly easy to fake and a lot of fakes sell for more than original pieces. It can be difficult to spot fakes sometimes just by looking at an individual piece, but spend some time looking at all of the pieces that are on this forum and you will soon spot some trends. Probably the most obvious problem with this for someone unfamiliar with vintage Breitlings is that the caseback (even allowing for all of the damage) doesn't have any of the 'Breitling style' markings.
