Its quite sad actually, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the watch untill it was mucked about with. Probably quite nice to wear too - good size and all. Will dent easy and its a cheaper movement but still good. There are a few more out there at the moment as well.

It looks to me it is gold but is missing its gold case back and now just has the inside cover only. Maybe it was even just discarded because the re modelling went wrong.

Maybe one day we will see one genuinely advertised, as great original condition, never converted by the unscrupulous , rare in this unmolested condition.

There is one decent original Vintage B up for auction BTW but seems its been spotted and half of us are bidding on it :D .

Was indeed a nice piece before someone got the felt tip pens out.

Curious if someone can help me to understand how they've identified that this piece is non-authentic and has been messed with, which I see from previous posts. I'm trying to be careful as an interested collector, but very new and not familiar with how to spot this as messed with:

Thanks!

Biggest giveaway is that it still has the original brand on the dial - Chronographe Suisse. All that someone has done is add Breitling to a perfectly legitimate watch.

That would be nice but can you imagine the finger-pointing that would go on. The fakers would flag the authentic, the honest would flag the fakers. Lets be thankful for forums like here that we can turn to.

Yes, agreed. Just hate to see those who are getting taken by those with no moral fiber.
