Thanks so much to those who helped me out the other day. I haven't a clue what i'm looking at as this is my 'first time out', so I really appreciated the advice. A passed. How about this one, though? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171057600084? ... 1438.l2649 I not sure I actually like it as much (pure aesthetics of typography etc), but am keen to understand more as I definitely want to buy...probably a 1190. But maybe this.... |

not tooooo bad; dial is clearly refinished, logo quite a bit off, movement should be signed by the mid 1950s; not a fake, not even franken, just imperfectly restored, clearly not a purist's choice, but it would make a "wearable" watch. others will disagree; at least it's not a ref. 806, so I might survive. |

vintage wrote: Wrong crown and what's with the gold bezel on the chrome plated case? crown is clearly wrong (consider this minor) - but did not notice the wrong bezel, blinded by that refinished dial. ![]() just saw seller is the same that had the recent "Breitling On Bridge", btw. better avoid. |
