these were just posted on TZ, quite an elaborate fake, meet the Landeron Chronomat.
asked for a caseback pic, but the whole case and bezel seems to be fake, so expecting to see more of those soon.

Yikes - hope TZ pulls that. Fairly easy to spot that this is wrong but will avoid going in to too many details as clearly the source is around the forums.

wrong info from me , it was posted on WUS, not TZ; not a sales thread; new member that claimed to have found it at a watch show - only later added that he resides in Hong Kong.
hope these will not appear on the bay like the 29xx 3-hands.

Globally bad, but not caricatural for some of the parts . At the end this kind of fake will improve so much than many of us will be exposed to take this junk stuff as real Breitling !

Another one or perhaps the same one.

knew it would pop up on the bay and not only at the "Hong Kong Watch Show".

"meticulously restored"......

seller watchtime1 claims: "We are passionate watch collectors and enthusiasts who enjoy collecting and selling vintage timepieces as they represent the elegance and functionality of a bygone era."

just happens not to include a movement shot of the Landeron that will be inside. Clear intention to deceive, but probably little sense reporting this ?

quite a lot is wrong about this "creation", surprised they invested so much into this without at least getting it close to correct.

I asked him to post a pic of the movement. He's got an offer already so it could disappear quickly. Buyers need to do their homework before throwing money away.

assume u received a similar reply:
"Thanks for your interest in this watch. I am unable to open the case back without damaging it as I do not have the proper tools. My watchmaker meticulously restored this watch and has verified that the 17 jewel movement and case back interior are signed Breitling. I will guarantee that or your money back.
- watchtime1"

.... 17 jewel Landeron, signed Breitling.

just hope nobody will pay serious money for this one.

I have now reported this as fraudulent, though probably to little avail.

seller is a crook, here's the latest comms:

my question:
"quite unsusual that you do not have movement pics from the restoration.. can you confirm it has the correct Venus 175 you mention in your description ?"

answered by watchtime1:
"Restoration was done by a certified watchmaker. By definition restoring a vintage watch may require replacing certain parts. I cannot account for the specific movement in this watch other than to say that it is 17 jewels and signed Breitling. That and the chronograph functions are fully operational. You should base your decision to bid or pass on these criteria"
