Good eye. I had completely missed that. Could be an assembled watch since he didn't want to show a pic of the movement and the cases are readily available. Seller said this: "Hi: Thanks for your information. The watch is not missing any inner scale. That is how it was configured from Breitling. Some watches did have an additional inner decimal scale and some did not. The outer scale is essentially two scales in one. Please see photos again." |

Is the sellers comment correct. maybe Roff or Fred can chime in. |

Don't see any on Google images without the outer scale. Seller must be privy to some very special facts. |

Then he sends me this: "Hi: I did some research on this topic and found out that this watch is Ref. 2112 with Calibre 11 and did not have the inner scale. However, Breitling later on made Ref. 2117 with calibre 12 and that one had the inner scale you are referring to. Nothing is missing from this NEW watch. Visit this site and you will these all these watches. Thanks. http://www.breitling-museum.com/Breitli ... Matic.html" If his watch says ref 2112 on the back he has bigger problems. ![]() |

a/ 100% of the Pult 7101 and 2117 that I saw have an inner scale b/ 2112 has a symetric oval case , it is not a Pult 3/ 2117 have encased mainly the cal.11 and latest pièces have encased its evolution the cal. 12 4/ in both cases the chrono bridge is engraved " Breitling automatic cal 11 - or 12" - silver finish for cal 11 , and gold finish for cal 12 . 5/ as far as I know, original subdial hands would be black on a Brown 2117 - but unsure about that . Provided that this Pult encases the correct Cal 11 , it would not be designed as a franken, only a good Pult with just a missing inner ring - easy to find on eBay . IMHO , the seller is stupid to stay on his position . Considering that he trusts breitling -museum as a reference , this explains that. |

Is there any general consensus of whether this is a legitimate Breitling bullhead or not. I think not. |

well, we'll see whether Paul or Phil were right with their gut feeling, my bet is on Phil. ![]() a 2112 caseback would not fit the case, btw. |
