quite nice workmanship, really: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-18k-GOL ... 4172c18e43

new trend seems to be US sellers that happen to "ship from outside the US". fronting for the Bunos Aires crowd.

Do you think this is real or fake?

Well, I was the buyer. Didn't notice this forum until I finish the bid.

And it seems this watch is actually coming from Vietnam...ok..high risk I agree.

But I check these few links
- outlook of dial - that museum site has similar dial & it is venus 188 movement
- the case back - how the 18k & numbers are printed
- the "Breitling" written on the movement...ofcoz, that could be a re-work.
- venus 188 movement is used. Difference is slight when I compared other source

Or do you mean most ebay Breitling vintage items are fake?

sorry that you have been the buyer, but you should have no problem to cancel the transaction.

that online "Breitling Museum" lists mostly junk, guy who runs this told me he just "grabs pics of watches he likes from auctions". what a museum.

one of the watches you link to is genuine, that Top Time ref. 2001 looks fine; the other two are listed by well known Frankenfakers and they show their reliability.

the watch you purchased is clearly fake; no correct Breitling reference number, no correct serial number - a typical Chronographe Suisse with incorrect Breitling branding added, Breitling never used these paper thin gold cases with dual caseback.
