I like these big vintage watches even when they're screwed up like this one. You can still see where it says '20 Micron' indicating gold plating inside the back cover. Not a wise move to chrome instead of replate it gold. Poor sucker is right. These old Hahn Landeron movements were not that good when they were new and horrible when they are worn out. He will be in pain when he has to have it worked on (added to the pain when he finds out its a fake). Parts are impossible to find. The last one I worked on cost the owner over $700 and after that experience I won't ever work on one again! I had worked on them in the past and I knew better. |
