Been looking at the 2-subdial Top Time's; this one sold recently on e-bay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BREITLING-1970I ... 1c3199df29

It is listed as a Venus 178 and has an 810 caseback--however only 2 subdials, so I decided not to bid on the watch.

I don't know much about this model. Do any of our experienced collectors have an opinion on the authenticity of this watch? Thanks for your help.

a real Frankenwatch and good you did not bid in it.

Gen II 810 case, Venus 175 not 178, dial and hands are from a late 1960s ref. 2000, dial is not only wrong but much too small for the case. authentic components, though.

strange seller, Yvonne; sometimes has excellent pieces, but often slips in blatantly wrong watches and does not even blink when informed but claims to know better, being Swiss and all ......

Thanks for the advice WatchFred. I have enjoyed looking at the pictures of your Top Time watches that you posted. That's what got me interested in this model.
