This is the first time I write on this very interesting forum. Iwould like to know what you think of this vintage Breitling "diver chronograph":

http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 1438.l2649

It sold on Ebay last week. I wanted to buy it but read many articles on this forum and came to the conclusion that it was a fake (no reference number and no valid case number as it seems the case number should have been of 6 or 7 digits without any space in between).
Also, the movement seems wrong (very simple, without column wheel and without any bridge engarving).

Please tell me what you think. Has this model ever existed or is it a complete fake ?

Thanks

pathetic junk.
Tropic & buckle are worth a lot more than this "Breitling Diver".

Thanks for your answer.
Was there ever a Breitling model resembling this watch ?
Any idea what brand this might in fact be ?

Not true.

This is a no name vintage watch that someone has tried to turn into a Breitling. No way of knowing what it started life as, but was a legitimate watch.

OK, but if it has bits and pieces from various watches / manufacturers, it technically has no brand, no? or would it become a "X" if the majority of the parts were "X"?

It's now a franken watch - parts of a number of different pieces.
