Hi All,

Hoping to pick up a nice vintage Breitling, just doing some research, what is the general consensus on the below ?
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/vi...id=68257516117

I also came across this, looks close to my untrained eye..

http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format ... 0868538782
Thanks for your advice in advance

The first one doesn't show up and the second one is overpriced. The second looks like a genuine piece but the hands have aged along with the dial so it's not a mint piece that should sell for a premium. I'd most likely put it in the $500-$850 range.

Second one may well be genuine, but the bridge engraving isn't.

The second one looks fine too but the dial has been refinished. Don't think anything is wrong with the bridge engraving on either since It's common on this model. Same price range as the first.

Redial for sure, but otherwise looks OK, caseback engraving has been added.

edit - Paul beat me to it.

LOL Completely missed that engaving on the back. Looks light enough that it maybe can be polished off.

Yeah it's pretty light.

Still not convinced on these block print bridges with script dial pieces.......
